Pocket shorts
Let customers speak for us
from 377 reviewsBought these for an upcoming marathon, and have tested them on a few runs and broke them in properly during a recent half marathon race.
Sizing/Fit: I'm normally a size S (for reference, I'm a 5ft 7in male, ~67 kg), but based on the size guide and my hip measurement, I went with the recommended size L, and they fit perfectly! (Note, the label inside says XXL). The shorts themselves are very comfortable, and lockdown well with the drawstrings. I've had no issues with them riding up the thigh.
Look: They look great (I went with black), and I really like the 262 branding.
Potential for improvement: There is no fly/zip, and given the form-hugging fit, going to the loo mid-run might be more of a faff than you're used to. For example, my cheaper (rubbish) shorts can be pulled up the thigh allowing me to go without undoing the drawstring, whereas these need to be fully undone/retied each time. But then again, I am renowned for my need to pee a good 5+ times before a race ;)

So good!! Perfect fit, stuff sits in the pockets comfortably without bouncing.

Have used these in all my marathon training runs, and I will definitely be using them on race day. They are super comfortable, no chafing and look the real deal. Can store everything i need for the distance and doesn't bounce around like some of the inferior products currently on the market. Highly recommend and will be purchasing more.

Perfect tights with plenty of room for gels! Highly recommended.

Used these for a 20 mile race at the weekend and couldn’t fault them, unlike my choice of gels. Carried 6 gels, no bounce, easy to access and no having to pull the shorts up every 5 minutes. Could have easily carried a few more and I don’t think it would cause any issue. Only carried my key in the zip pocket so can’t really comment on its capacity. I’d have probably preferred a longer inner short but that’s more due to having used Ronhill twin layer for the past 15 years as my tan line shows. All in all I can’t fault them and will add another pair to my shorts drawer.

Love the Zip tights, highly recommend. Rest of my order had an item of the wrong size and was just missing another item :/ would order one at a time

Really rate the gear Stephen is offering, well made, well thought out and super functional, definitely consider 262 when purchasing your next piece of running gear.

Been on the lookout for tights with good storage that are comfortable, durable and stylish…these certainly didn’t disappoint. I regularly get asked where I got them and they’re my new favourite running tights!

Tried these out on a 16mile training run straight out the box. They’re *so* insanely good. Light, comfortable, zero chafing at that distance (nor in my subsequent 20miler this last weekend).
The biggest revelation is the mesh storage system for fuel and the little hidden phone pocket at the back. It’s these little details, excellently implemented, that make it clear they were designed by someone who runs a lot of miles, and put that experience into their creation. So few of the big brand products I’ve tried ever manage to nail this, but these absolutely do.
I’ll 100% be back for more gear!

Great shorts, no need for belts or even baselayers! Very happy with them 👌

I've tried these out on a long run carrying 5 gels and a small soft flask. They felt great; very comfortable and I didn't notice the gels were there. Like the length too - I'm not a fan of short shorts, so these are perfect.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to be able to carry fuel / their phone on runs - no notes!

Bought these for some upcoming races and wont be racing/running in any other shorts! The pockets are ideal for storing gels and very comfortable.

Absolutely love these shorts they are so comfortable, pockets are perfect nothing is bouncing up and down really happy I bought them.

I bought these and a very expensive pair of half tights and sent the expensive pair back straight away. These are unbelievable value for what you’re getting! Treat yo’self!
