We’re on a mission to source insanely good running shorts — practical, performance-led, and well priced — built for runners who want gear that simply works.
Lower costs —
same materials. better value.
After retiring from professional running, what shocked me most was how
expensive performance kit had become. When we compared price points
across the market, it was clear that most increases weren’t driven by
better materials — but by rising marketing costs. These are very expensive outgoings, and consumers pay the bill.
At 262, we’ve focused on what actually matters. Quality fabrics,
functional design, and honest pricing — so you’re paying for performance,
not hype.
Running should feel simple.
Carry your fuel, your phone, and the essentials —
with no belt, no bounce, and no distractions.
Train in them. Race in them. Supported every step.
Giving back
Supporting runners
As 262 grows, it’s important that we give back to the sport that’s given us
so much. A portion of what we do goes towards supporting other runners —
helping with training costs, competition opportunities, and the everyday
expenses that make pursuing high-level sport possible.
We know how tough that journey can be, and our goal is to help more athletes
stay focused on what really matters: showing up, improving, and competing
at their best.
This is personal to me
— because I’ve been a runner for 25 years. The sport has been incredibly
good to me — from running 2:09 for the marathon, setting an Irish record,
and representing my country at the Olympic Games.
Now, I get to dedicate myself to the other side of the journey — helping
runners of all levels enjoy the process, focus on what matters, and feel
supported every time they lace up.
